Prior to entering the private sector, Patrick served as Speechwriter and Special Assistant to Florida Governor Jeb Bush post-9/11 and during his successful 2002 re-election campaign in Florida. He later served as Speechwriter and Policy Advisor to Alfred Hoffman, Jr. in his roles as U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Portugal, CEO of WCI Communities, Chairman of the Florida Council of 100, and Republican National Committee Finance Chairman.
Patrick’s real estate industry experience includes designing award-winning strategic marketing plans (America’s Best Builder Award, NAHB Excellence in Green Marketing Award), high-rise project management, Investor Relations and Government Relations for both Florida-based master-planned developers and international real estate developers operating in Latin America.
Patrick brings twenty years of work experience in Latin America; fluency in English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese; and a broad network of political, professional and C-level contacts in Florida, Georgia, D.C., São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Buenos Aires where he has lived and worked since 1996.
Patrick is a graduate of Washington and Lee University where he earned dual degrees in Spanish and Economics, and the University of Florida MBA Program where he received a Full Merit Scholarship and specialized in Entrepreneurship & Latin American Business.
